101 Transition Activities 2.0
The content of this class is based on the book “101 Learning and Transition Activities” by Bradley Smith and Adam Smith [published by Thomas Delmar Learning ©2006, HandPrint Productions @2013] and is a collection of fun and engaging activities for teachers and families to share with children in a childcare center or at home. The class defines what a transition activity is, introduces the Seven Elements of Good Transition Activities, and then applies those seven elements into seven activity categories. The seven categories include Character Sketch/Role Play; Imagination; Large and Small Motor; Recognition and Memory; Quieting Down/Crowd Control; and Repetition. This is a must-have class for any early childhood educator, caregiver, or family member interested in promoting children’s imagination while directly incorporating their input into each activity.
